Cornhuskers top Knights in latest poll

Cornhuskers top Knights in latest poll

Nashville, TN

February 10, 2015

Nebraska continues its hold on the top spot in the most recent poll of the National Ten Pin Coaches Association (NTCA) but second place Fairleigh Dickinson has narrowed the gap on the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska topped FDU at January’s Prairie View Invitational and that victory was probably the deciding factor for many voters as the Huskers edged the Knights by a mere six poll points.  The two schools received all the first-place votes.

Arkansas State, Central Missouri maintained their poll positions at No. 3 and 4 while Stephen F. Austin jumped from eighth to fifth since the last poll in late December. Vanderbilt remained at No. 6 with Sam Houston State sliding from fifth to seventh and Maryland-Eastern Shore moving up a notch into eighth.  Wisconsin-Whitewater and North Carolina A & T round out January’s Top 10.

The survey reflects a snapshot of thinking by the NCAA Bowling head coaches after the January competition had concluded.
