Nebraska still number one
March 18, 2015
NASHVILLE, TN---There was a lot of NCAA bowling competition over the past month but when the National Ten Pin Coaches Association (NTCA) conducted its March poll, there were almost no changes in its Top 20.
Nebraska continues to lead the poll by a commanding margin over second-place Fairleigh Dickinson. The Huskers received 21 of the NTCA’s 22 first-place votes after winning the Greater Ozark Invitational and having a strong performance at the Columbia 300 Music City Classic.
The first seven in March’s poll are identical with the February poll: Nebraska, Fairleigh Dickinson, Arkansas State, Central Missouri, Stephen F. Austin, Vanderbilt and Sam Houston State. The only change in the order came with Wisconsin-Whitewater coming in eighth, changing spots with Maryland-Eastern Shore, now in ninth place. North Carolina A&T held on to the 10th place in the poll. McKendree heads the second 10 with a wide gap to 12th place St. Francis (Pa.)
